This publication establishes beyond reasonable doubt that adherence to and enforcement of international and human rights law is optional for politicians, their agents, and domestic authorities in present day Australia. Disturbingly, the same standard defence that’s employed in response to sexual violence allegations, and in particular in response to historic sexual violence allegations, is again being dishonestly and deceitfully employed to defend the present day arbitrary arrest, arbitrary detention, persecution, torture and ill-treatment pandemic identified by this series. The reaction, reprisals, manipulation of sentiment by the implicated and patriotic, cover-up’s, and the widespread government sanctioned denial of the rights to equal access to justice and the equal protection and equal benefit of the law for victims and survivors are what will make the matter most historic, and is what will be of most value to civic control and engagement scholars and industries.

Statutory limitations that time bar victims and survivors from commencing civil proceedings in pursuit of fair and adequate restorative justice must be abolished, and victims and survivors who pursue restorative justice must be indemnified by the State. The path to a sustainable and peaceful unified world in which nobody gets left behind runs directly through a just and equitable world in which nobody is above the law. It’s time to get fair dinkum about bringing about this kind of world true blue.
